Spring finally! I'm sorry I've neglected this blog, but I've been so busy with sessions and family fun. I'll be sure to post some pictures from my recent sessions, but for now...here's Finn on Easter Sunday. They took less than an hour to make! I found the fabric for the pants at my local thrift shop for $1.99. The fabric was previously a pair of women's trousers. We love to recycle anything and everything. I hope you recycle something today too!

He's on the mend, AGAIN! This time he's got a little limp going on. Keeping an eye on him until Friday, then we'll decide if we need to investigate this little limp further.

We've all checked out of cyberspace for a while...and it's been refreshing to say the least. Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on magical moments to be had when I'm truckin' away on this computer. It's perplexing how I can feel so in touch with a friend across the world, but so out of touch with my own family. This is where hours on the web and editing photos leaves me. In a fog. I'm ready to burst with creative energy for my business, but I know that this burst would mean less time and less magic with my two boys. How do all of you creative mama's do it??? love, cuddle, play, nurture, teach, create, cook, clean, work. HOW? please tell me your secret.

This is just a quick note to let all of you know that I only have a few dates left for sessions between now and June. If you would like to schedule a spring session in April or May, please visit my website www.merritd.com, and send me and email with a few dates that you have in mind. I'll get back to you ASAP with my availability. Since my schedule is filling up faster than anticipated, I'm also booking sessions for June, July, and August. I apologize if I'm not able to accommodate everyone, but I can not compromise the quality and process of my work in order to add more sessions. I've also started a wait list for March sessions if you'd like to be added. Thank you for your patience as merrit d. p h o t g r a p h y continues to grow.
